The Bay School Library sits nestled in the trees to the right of our main classroom building.  The shelves are filled with over 6,000 volumes including fairy tales, animal stories, fantasy, magic, mystery, history and non-fiction wisdom, as well as a Parent Library collection.  Each class meets weekly with the librarian to listen to poems and stories, browse the collection, and select books to take home.  Upper grades use the nonfiction collection to research and enhance the curriculum of the classroom. Throughout the year the Library hosts lunchtime book clubs, and collaborates with the faculty on curriculum.  Browsing and quiet reading are encouraged and members of our community are welcome to hold a library card including students, parents, alumni and friends.  Our librarian is an active member of the specialty teacher faculty and works with parent volunteers to make the Library a vibrant place for learning and simply enjoying a good book.
